Welcome to LagOmar, a legendary place nestled in the heart of the enchanting island of Lanzarote.
The origin of the name is a play on words combining the Spanish word "lake" (lago) and the Arabic word for "ocean" (mar).
This extraordinary museum is much more than just an exhibition space - it's a true oasis of mystery and beauty, infused with the creative spirit of the local artist César Manrique but also of the Hollywood actor Omar Sharif.

A fascinating connection with the legendary actor Omar Sharif
LagOmar maintains a fascinating connection with the legendary actor Omar Sharif. In the 1970s, Sharif decided to purchase the property.
Legend has it that Sharif, while playing bridge, lost the villa in a card game. This unexpected turn of events led to Sharif's brief but memorable ownership of the villa, which he named LagOmar.
Although Sharif's ownership of LagOmar was short-lived, his association with the property left an indelible mark on its history.
