Where to park in Florence?
If you arrive in Florence by car, like we did, it's possible to park in the city, but there are a few things you need to know...
First, parking is expensive and spaces are small. If you have a large sedan or an SUV, you'll need to be comfortable maneuvering and driving through narrow streets.
Also, like in Venice, the parking lots are valet-only, meaning attendants will park your car for you. You have to trust them with your vehicle.
Finally, as with all city centers in major cities, parking is expensive and spots are limited.
We managed to find a parking spot at Park2Go Parcheggio Firenze, just a few meters from the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore.
