Welcome to the Casa Museo del Campesino, a hidden gem in the heart of Lanzarote where history, culture, and art come together in a relaxed and rustic atmosphere.
This place was envisioned by the iconic architect of Lanzarote, César Manrique, who sought to evoke peasant traditions here and celebrate the richness of Lanzarote's heritage.
Upon our arrival, we were charmed by the traditional architecture of the Casa Museo, with its bright white walls and green-painted carved wooden doors. The architecture is stunning, and the place truly invites meditation and contemplation, especially as it is not touristy and caters to an informed audience.
After exploring this beautiful, brightly white place, we could relax in the charming inner courtyard of the museum where there is a restaurant serving traditional dishes from Lanzarote.
The Casa Museo del Campesino is much more than just a museum - it's an immersive experience that transports you into the island's fascinating past while celebrating its lively and dynamic culture. So take the time to wander through its halls and soak in its enchanting atmosphere - you won't regret it.
