Here we are, ready to explore the sunny wonders of the Costa Blanca in Spain, specifically the beautiful town of Calp, located by the Mediterranean Sea and the impressive mountains of the region.
Calpe: A Sunny Getaway on the Costa Blanca
Upon our arrival, we are captivated by this coastal town, nestled between turquoise sea, ultra-modern residences, and the lake just a few streets away.
We decide to start our exploration with a hike towards the iconic Peñón de Ifach, an imposing rock formation that rises majestically above the town. After a trek through the surrounding natural park, we are rewarded with breathtaking views of the coast and the crystal-clear waters stretching as far as the eye can see.
Back in town, we stroll along the Mediterranean Sea on the promenade before sitting down at one of the many local restaurants to enjoy specialties, accompanied by a refreshing mojito.
In the afternoon, we decide to tour the "Salines de Calp" lake, just a few hundred meters away from the beach. It's a beautiful spot right in the city where flamingos have made their home. The walk around the lake is a moment we particularly enjoyed. We flew the drone to capture some aerial views of the city. The photos almost make us think of Miami in Florida!
In the evening, we head to the most famous rooftop in the area, that of the luxurious Suitopia hotel! The residents of Calp don't particularly like this almost 40-story tower that stands out a bit in the landscape, but we tourists, fond of spectacular views and trendy places, loved this experience because the views of the city, both in daylight and at sunset, are stunning...
