The Thiers pier, a large wooden pier with a big Ferris wheel and some attractions, is the place to be in Arcachon! Firstly, it's a very pleasant spot for a walk, and there's a lively atmosphere. This place reminds us of some piers in Florida; we loved it.
Boat Connections to Bird Island
From Arcachon, you can take one of the many boats for a trip to Bird Island, an ideal nature reserve for observing wildlife.
Departure times are frequent, and all information is available directly at the Thiers pier, near the pier: Thiers Pier.
